Review of the Mongar tent – camping curtains

Review of the Mongar tent - camping curtains

We like to spend time out as a family and it is important to have the right equipment when it comes to outdoor activities, from excursions to camping. We have crossed many curtains over the years and we know what kind of functionality they are important for us. I recently discovered Naturehike, which has many excellent and innovative characteristics.

Naturehike Mongar 3 Season 2 Person TendaIt is compact and easy. We do a lot of camping in the summer and this easy tent also has a lot of ventilation.

This tent is only 4 pounds 11 ounces, which is so easy. At 19.6 x 5.9 x 5.9 «, it is very portable and easily adapts into a backpack or in the car. The pillars are a lightly aluminum alloy 7001.

The configuration is very simple. There is an instruction manual that is easy to understand and the configuration is also very intuitive.

The curtains have a structure in Y, which facilitates assembly with the help of light pillars.

The pillars are easily fixed in the corners. I really like the design of the tent, because we have fought with other curtains and can be frustrating if the installation is confused or difficult.

Naturehike Mongar 2: A Lightweight Tent Built for Comfort

For families and outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy camping regularly, choosing the right tent can greatly improve the overall experience. A good camping tent should be lightweight, easy to transport, simple to assemble, and comfortable enough to provide a restful night’s sleep after a day of hiking or exploring. The Naturehike Mongar 2 has become a popular option among backpackers and weekend campers because it successfully combines all of these features into a compact and practical design.

One of the first things you’ll notice is its impressive portability. Weighing just under five pounds, the tent is light enough for backpacking trips while remaining spacious enough for two people. Its compact packed dimensions allow it to fit easily inside a hiking backpack or the trunk of a car, making it an excellent choice for road trips, camping holidays, and multi-day trekking adventures where minimizing weight is important.

The tent’s lightweight construction is made possible by its 7001 aluminum alloy poles, which provide an excellent balance between strength and low weight. Aluminum poles are highly valued by experienced campers because they offer greater durability than fiberglass while remaining resistant to bending under normal outdoor conditions. This makes the Mongar 2 suitable for repeated use across different camping environments.

Fast Setup and Excellent Ventilation

One of the standout features of the Naturehike Mongar 2 is its straightforward setup process. Even campers with limited experience can pitch the tent within a few minutes thanks to its intuitive Y-shaped pole structure. The poles connect easily to the corner attachment points, creating a stable frame without requiring complicated assembly steps. This simple design is especially appreciated when arriving at camp after a long hike or when weather conditions require setting up shelter quickly.

Ventilation is another major advantage, particularly during warm-weather camping. Large mesh panels allow fresh air to circulate throughout the tent, helping reduce condensation while keeping the interior cool on summer nights. Improved airflow also creates a more comfortable sleeping environment, especially in humid climates where moisture buildup can become an issue.

The interior has been thoughtfully designed to maximize usable space despite its lightweight profile. There is enough room for two adults along with essential camping gear, while interior storage pockets help keep small items such as headlamps, phones, and personal belongings organized and within easy reach. Dual doors and vestibules also make entering and exiting the tent more convenient while providing additional covered storage space for backpacks or hiking boots.

Weather protection is equally important, and the Mongar 2 performs well in typical three-season conditions. Its waterproof rainfly, durable floor, and sturdy construction help protect campers from rain and moderate winds, making it suitable for spring, summer, and autumn adventures. Proper guy lines and secure staking further improve stability when camping in exposed locations.

Overall, the Naturehike Mongar 2 offers an excellent combination of lightweight construction, quick assembly, reliable weather protection, and practical comfort. Whether you’re planning family camping trips, weekend hikes, or longer backpacking expeditions, this tent provides a dependable shelter that is easy to carry, simple to pitch, and comfortable enough to make every outdoor adventure more enjoyable.

The curtain is supplied with many peas, so you can collect and fix the curtain.

Quality

The outside and the bottom of the Mongar tent are made of 20D nylon with a silicone layer on the surface. With a waterproofing index of 4000 mm, we worry less than the penetration of water through the curtain. We also like the integrated design of the tarpaulin that protects the tent floor!

The internal attempt is made of 20d nylon and B3 breathable mesh. He has a strong feeling, but he has a lot of breath. We are not foreign camping in curtains that are suffocating in the heat and in which you wake up with a condensate tent.

The curtain has a beautiful covered area above the door, which helps to relieve entrance and exit while it is protected from elements and the fly provides an additional level of protection. You can adjust the tent for circulation and shadow, which is an excellent feature. There are doors on each side of Mongar, so you don’t have to climb each other to go out.

The temptation is beautifully enveloped and has a belt that helps to tighten – something I have not seen in other curtains. It is small and easy as it is, and it is nice to have this additional ability to pack strictly without wasting extra space.

Naturehike Mongar 3 Season 2 Person TendaIt is a wonderful tent and we were happy to bring it with us in the campsite in the hottest months. It was fantastic for travel where we want to suitcase easily and we want to feel comfortable with a warmer climate.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Naturehike Mongar 3 Season 2 Person Tent proves to be an excellent choice for campers seeking convenience, comfort, and versatility. Its design caters perfectly to two people, making it ideal for couples, friends, or small families who want a reliable shelter without compromising on portability or ease of transport. During our experience at the campsite in the hottest months, the tent demonstrated remarkable performance, providing a comfortable and protected environment despite the warmer climate.

One of the standout features of the Mongar tent is its suitability for travel. Its compact size and lightweight construction make it easy to carry in a suitcase or backpack, allowing campers to enjoy hassle-free transportation without sacrificing comfort. This is especially valuable for those who frequently move between campsites or combine camping with other types of travel.

The tent’s functionality extends beyond convenience. Its ventilation and material choices ensure a pleasant indoor climate, even during hot weather, enhancing the overall camping experience. Campers can rest, relax, and enjoy the surroundings without being affected by excessive heat or discomfort.

Ultimately, the Naturehike Mongar 3 Season 2 Person Tent is more than just a shelter—it is a practical companion for outdoor adventures. Its combination of portability, comfort, and adaptability makes it an excellent investment for those seeking a reliable tent for warm-weather camping. For travelers who prioritize ease of transport, quality, and a pleasant camping experience, this tent delivers on all fronts, ensuring memorable and enjoyable outdoor trips.
